Quick notes:
1) News items:
- Matthiew informs us that there is progress on the brochures. They will stay under Council embargo for a while.
- "FCC-ee paves the way to ..." (the sentence used in the ESPPU document) may be replaced by a slightly more positive sentence.
2) Web site:
- One of the requests from Patrick is to highlight the PED mandate, which is being finalised. We may need several versions:
- In-reach: for the collagues that we want to inform (attract) the official anf technical wording is important. The current version is hidden in the "coordination" page https://fcc-ped-clone.web.cern.ch/content/ped-mandate
- Out-reach: words will have to be defined and/or the whole text over simplified, even more than the current welcome
- The mandate now includes the coordination of the theory effort, some specific "space" will have to be setup for our colleagues
- The colours used in the workpress quick sketch are of course (voluntarily) absurd:
- Claire will use the current FCC collaboration logo and graphic chart until further notice. Decision to do differently will have to come from the Project Office. Change of architecture or content from the PED coordination.
- No exchange of information with the ECO group working on the FCC description within the CERN site, but the person in charge is usualy present at the LOG meeting.
- Deadline for missing website components (e.g. the new PED organigramme) is May 1st
3) Elevator pitches:
Slides were updated after the meeting to add a new input proposed by Panos and fix a broken link.
- The necessity to speak about FCC without mentionning FCC-ee implies some rephrasing:
- In 3 pages: the 3 quotes + some comments will be merged in a google doc.
- In 10 pages: will extract the main points from Christophe
- Even if we focus on PED, it is impossible to skip the role of CERN in Europe
- To address the extra needs, e.g. more examples or Q&A we will need some backgrounders or https://atlas.cern/Resources/Cheat-sheets
- why precision matters ?
- measuring... the Higgs ? the standard model ? known particles ?
- fundamental difference between ee and pp collisions
