CHEF 2026 Plenary home page
The 1st CHEF plenary is a two-day event in Bern with presentations from CHEF ECRs, coffee breaks, and a BBQ on the first day. All CHEF members, including students, postdocs, and PIs are invited.
The deadline for registration and abstracts is June 30, 2026.
The CHEF (Swiss High Energy Physics for FCC) initiative was established in 2025 following recommendations from CHIPP and inspired by the CHART framework. It supports the Swiss national strategy for participation in CERN’s Future Circular Collider (FCC) programme, starting with FCC-ee, and encompasses activities in detector development, theoretical research, data analysis, and simulation.
The CHEF Plenary brings together all members involved in the initiative, including the CHEF Coordination Team, Collaboration Board (CB), Executive Board (EB), Scientific Board (SB), Early-Stage Researchers, partner representatives, as well as observers and invited guests.
CHEF Plenary science meetings are organised once per year, primarily as informational and community-building events, featuring presentations of CHEF project activities, updates on scientific developments, and opportunities for discussion and networking within the Swiss FCC community.
