The 2026 edition of the MC4EIC workshop on Monte Carlo event generation for the EIC will take place at the University of Zurich.
The primary focus of this workshop is to discuss the status of event generators for the Electron-Ion Collider and the related experimental needs.
Topics to be covered:
- General-purpose event generators for DIS, photoproduction, and diffractive processes
- Comparisons and tuning to relevant ep and ed data
- Protons to Ions: Challenges, Solutions, etc.
- Experimental needs: a wishlist
- Lessons from the LHC
- Specialized event generators and interfacing
