Description
I will review recent work in Pythia relating to higher-order corrections and logarithmically accurate parton showers in Pythia. On the one hand, I will present a new fully-internal multiplicative NLO matching for DIS processes, which has been applied to both the Pythia simple shower with dipole recoil and the Vincia antenna shower. On the other hand, I will discuss progress on the Apollo parton-shower framework, which aims to simulate parton showers with higher-logarithmic accuracy. I will close by relating the two approaches and give an outlook on future extensions in the context of DIS processes.
