A few notes:

  • Clarification on the transfer lines:
    The injector complex includes:
    • Four transfer lines for the damping ring (DR), for which INFN will be responsible. The energy compressor (EC) is considered part of the positron linac, while the bunch compressor (BC) is part of the high-energy (HE) linac.
    • Two transfer lines for the polarization ring, under CERN responsibility.
    • One long transfer line connecting the HE linac to the booster ring, also under CERN responsibility.
  • RF design activities:
    Iryna and Alexej will organize a joint WP1–WP3 meeting to initiate the RF design of the RF structures for the positron linac and the capture section.
  • Damping ring (DR): vertical equilibrium emittance:
    A discussion took place regarding the equilibrium vertical emittance in the DR. Hannes suggested using, as a rough estimate, a vertical emittance corresponding to 1% of the horizontal emittance, or up to 10% when considering stronger coupling effects. Paolo proposed including the vertical emittance explicitly in the DR parameter table.Presently, the horizontal emittance is approximately a factor of two higher than the specification.
