Description
This two day event will bring together experienced MPI application developers
from EGEE, int.eu.grid and CosmoGrid. The aim will be to show how to adapt
MPI code for usage on these grids.
In addition to comprehensive treatment of basic MPI usage, we will also introduce advanced topics such as MPI tool support, visualisation and computational steering.
In this session we will describe the current support for MPI applications in EGEE including:
current issues, recommended usage, and future developments.

This MPI practical gives the user a hands on look at developing and running MPI applications on the Grid. We will cover the following issues: searching the information system for MPI-compatible sites, developing JDLs and wrapper scripts, submitting applications using mpi-start, interaction with Grid storage.
