Virtual visit for Menaggio (CO) / Italy - Liceo Scientifico "Ezio Vanoni"
The “E. Vanoni” Institute is a high school located on the western shore of Lake Como. Founded in 1979 as a Technical and Commercial Institute, it has grown over the years and now offers five different courses including Liceo Scientifico (Scientific High School).
Students of Liceo Scientifico study physics throughout their entire five-year curriculum. During their final years, they are given the opportunity to engage with university and research, so as to choose their future university studies.
Since organizing on-site visits to CERN can be challenging, we decided to take advantage of the Virtual Visits program to provide our final-year students with this unique opportunity.
This is the second year our institute has participated in a virtual visit. Based on last year's positive experience, we consider it highly advisable. It allows students to gain a deeper understanding of the inner workings of one of the world's most prestigious international centers for physics research.
