We have good experience with many hotels in Santander, this is a list ordered by personal preference.
Located at the end of the second beach of El Sardinero. The walk to the Palace takes ~30 minutes along the coast line, very scenic walk). It is our preferred choice for visitors.
Located at the beginning of the first beach of El Sardinero. 2 minutes to the beach. The walk to the Palace takes ~20 minutes along the coast line, very scenic walk.
More of a budget place. Located between at the beginning of the second beach, not right at the beach, still well located.
The closest to the Palace (~ 15 minutes walk).
