Title: Geometry update of HiRadMat Beam Dump FLUKA model
      Speaker: Lorenzo Forlani (CERN)
Abstract: This presentation aims to illustrate the update of the FLUKA model of the HiRadMat facility, located in the TNC tunnel in the former West Area of CERN, to provide a useful tool for radiation protection studies and comparison with the experimental results. In particular, the work focused on updating the facility dump geometry model, which was changed in 2021. This has been done using two approaches: the traditional geometry construction method, based on the definition of bodies on FLUKA, and an innovative one, consisting of an unstructured mesh creation and import. These two models were then compared to the previous geometry model by both observing the differences in the particle fluence spectra over the tunnel section (for different particle types) and comparing the fluence values integrated over the solid angle and energy spectrum.

Speakers: Annie Dolan, Carlotta Porzio (CERN), Hanne Heylen (CERN)
