Lukas to get latest version of drawing
How to mount everything on roof for iscool
HV cage, racks, transformer (more renforcement required?)
How do we mount the insulating feet?
Need to anchor the transformer to something, screw down to brace for lateral bracing
Can these go onto the metal profiles that will be the flooring?
Maybe we can add plates below the transformer to spread the load
Vincent wants to move the cage 30cm further away from wall.
Why is this?
Ebis
Window needed for removing equipment once a year.
Don't want easy access because otherwise people get access to laser lab.
Airtightness might make it difficult. Need a way to seal it - like a window
Also need access from roof so you can hold the heavy part from above while it's being removed
SCE says they will use the sandwich panel to make the hatch/window
On the roof will need 2 opening as it's the sandwich panel + metal profile.
The company can design this, we just need to give dimensions
Platform reduced by 30cm
Walls
Wall against shielding, does this need to be thick sandwich panels? Since it's only to shield for the temperature, is this necessary in this area?
What's the thinnest sandwich panel option?
Can we make thinner sandwich panels around the corner with the services?
Severin to check with contractor how to add sandwich panels to this corner
Tiago to notify company right away about this request
Kati to discuss with Nina if we really need sandwich panels against concrete wall
Bricks/shielding in bracing
Is this realistic what Vincent did? Or will this create stress points?
Severin says maybe we can add some mortier between bottom bricks and bracing?
Metal plate could bolt into wall - Ana has some we could use.
Top bricks maybe an issue? Bottom less of an issue since not weight bearing onto IPN
Order of installation: instal metal platform, then bricks and shielding, then laser tables, then wall panels
Timeline
First floor validated
Could we validate 2nd level metal structure prior to validating hole in wall? Yes. Just then needs to be done on site. Small addition, requires some beams to support. But ok to do later.
Before validating structure need to be sure the sandwich panels on concrete wall are in the same line
Sandwich panels are inside lab and we lose 10cm all the way around + thickness of column.
Planning
Galvanisation is closed in Aug, biggest constraint, so this needs to happen in july
Hopefully we can do 1st floor by beginning of aug
More details from supplier by end of week, hopefully manufacturing only takes 2wks
