What is the CERN excursion?

We would like to visit CERN in Geneva, the world’s leading laboratory for (accelerator-based) particle physics. There, we will tour various experiments, the fundamentals of which we learnt about in the Bachelor’s lecture on Particle and Nuclear Physics.

Who can join?

The excursion is primarily aimed at students at TU Dresden who have completed the 5th semester of the Bachelor’s/Teacher Training programme in Physics, i.e. who have at least already attended the lecture on particle- und nuclear physics. However, students from other semesters and disciplines are also welcome to register, provided there are still places available.
