This workshop will be the fourth edition of a series that started in Erice in 2014, with the most recent edition held in Zermatt in 2019. Since then, the landscape of present and future accelerator projects has evolved significantly, bringing increasingly demanding challenges related to impedance, collective effects, beam stability, and overall machine performance.
We believe that this is therefore a timely opportunity to bring the community together again to discuss recent progress, open questions, and the main challenges ahead for next-generation accelerators, while identifying priorities for future studies and developments.
The workshop will be held in memory of Prof. Vaccaro, who organized the first edition in Erice and introduced the concept of accelerator impedance in 1966.
