Actions:

  • Sign switch of multipoles summary --> Discussed today, table shared by R. Tomas
  • Simulate failure of correctors and BPMs
  • Larger roll error of BPMs up to 1mrad --> Currently implemented by K. Andre, news to be presented in the next meeting, impact on coupling by P. Hunchak
  • Repository for tuning result seeds --> To be followed up to have one repository for tuning and tuned lattices (S. Jagabathuni, J. Salvesen, J. Keintzel, K. Skoufaris, etc)
  • Max BPM to quadrupole alignment --> 500 um in x and y, 1mrad roll error

News:

  • Meeting with alignment and magnets: sag up to a few mm (limit from vacuum 1mm), impact on field evaluated (J. Bauche et al.) and communicated with tuning
  • Layout and optics meeting 28 August: Discussion on arc configuration including correctors
  • Tuning repository also available by EPFL colleagues (L. Sievert, T. Prebibaj)

Next meetings:

  • 02 August 2026;
  • 08 September 2026: special for SuperKEKB

M. Liebsch presents on field tolerances. Prototypes from the CDR phase are measured, and measured sextupole and octupole errors are above the 3 sigma range, new scans will be performed by M. Pentella.

Sign switch of multipole components is discussed: tables correspond to aperture 2 (outside, right-handed co-ordinate system).

In the quadrupoles, about ~ 100 um shift between Z and ttbar are found. It is suggested to redesign to have around +/- 50um.
