BoostCharm: Accelerating $D^0 \to K^0_S\pi^+\pi^-$

The BoostCharm:accelerating D⁰→K⁰ₛπ⁺π⁻ workshop will be held in Cagliari from 16 to 17 November 2026. The workshop aim at assessing the current status of mixing and CPV studies D⁰→K⁰ₛπ⁺π⁻ and discuss the prospects of the BoostCharm project in this area.

The BoostCharm project aims at being innovative in the determination of the phase-space and decay-time acceptance of D⁰→K⁰ₛπ⁺π⁻ decays by

• Wisely choose selection cuts
• Compare data and MC with control channels
• Use AI/ML to infer the correction in the multidimensional phase space

The BoostCharm project is funded by the Ministero dell'Università e della Ricerca through the PRINS2022LA35SY grant.
