Henry spent his career chasing particles that take their time, the ones that travel a little farther than expected before revealing themselves. Fittingly, his influence works the same way: it keeps showing up in places far from where it started, in the detectors he helped imagine, the students he mentored, and the friends he made at every CPAD workshop along the way.
This session is a chance to remember Henry together. Colleagues from his department and his collaborators at SLAC will share reflections on his science, his generosity, and probably at least one story he would have preferred we left out. We’ll close with an open microphone, where everyone is invited to share a memory, a laugh, or a few words. No slides required, and no one will check your error bars.
Come celebrate a long-lived legacy, and a physicist who reminded us that the most interesting signals are often the ones that don’t show up right away.
