I discuss the production of heavy Z' bosons at the LHC, as predicted in GUT-inspired theories, as well as in the Sequential Standard Model.
Supersymmetric Z' decay modes are accounted for, besides the Standard Model channels so far investigated.
Special care is taken about decays into slepton, chargino and neutralino pairs, leading to final states with leptons and missing energy. I will present the Z' branching ratios into BSM channels for several points in the U(1)'/MSSM parameter space and estimate the impact which the inclusion of the supersymmetric channels may have on the Z' mass exclusion limits.
