The Accommodation

We have prebooked 35 single rooms at the fix price of 104,50 euros per night.
The total price includes buffet breakfast on the basis of a 1-person/room occupancy. Participants will have to pay also 2,35 euros as tourist tax.
Booking procedure
To confirm the booking, please write to reservations@hoteldelftcentre.nl or phone to the hotel (+31 (0)15 2122125), remembering to point out that you're going to participate to PicoSEC training in TU Delft. You will be asked to give your credit card number as guarantee.
Travel to Delft
Train tickets can be bought in a large hall in the airport (either at the machines with ATM card, or at a ticket counter). Trains leave from platforms 5 or 6, direction "Den Haag HS" "Rotterdam". For someconnections you will have to switch train in Leiden CS. Delft is in between Den Haag HS and Rotterdam.

18:30 : Guided private tour
A private guide will take you on a guided tour starting from the Hampshire hotel. Discover the beautiful historic city when you walk along the old Cattle Market and the New Church, the final resting place for the Dutch Royal family. The famous Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer worked and lived his entire live in Delft and see where he worked on his paintings -
19:00 - 19:45 : Canal Boat Tour
Go on a guided boat tour through the old city centre. The tour takes you along old merchant houses, through centuries-old arched bridges and many other historical sites. The captain on board shares anecdotes and explains more about the city’s history. -
20:00 : Three Course Dinner
Enjoy a very special dinner in one of the most well-known restaurant in the heart of the historic center: "Restaurant Le Marriage & The Bounge". The chef will treat you with a delicious 3-course dinner.

Escher Museum visit: Escher in Het Paleis is a permanent exhibition dedicated to the world-famous artist M.C. Escher, whose art startled millions of people all over the world. The collection is housed in the former Winter Palace of Queen Mother Emma of the Netherlands. In Escher in Het Paleis, almost all of the works of the world-famous Dutch artist M.C. Escher (1898-1972) are on display.
The Museum is open from Tuesday until Sunday from 11.00 to 17.00.
Please notice that this visit is not part of the social program of the training, but it is optional.
