A Nagy Hadronütköztető (LHC) 2009 novemberében kezdte meg működését. Az elmúlt három év során gyűjtött adatok a nagyenergiás részecske- és magfizika több területén is alapvető fontosságúnak bizonyultak. Előadásomban összefoglalom az erős kölcsönhatással, valamint az atommag-ütközések fizikájával kapcsolatos magyar vonatkozású és magyar vezetésű analízisek eredményeit, következtetéseinket.

Kvantumtérelméleti modellek konzisztens megfogalmazásához elengedhetetlen a renormálás, melynek nem-perturbatív végrehajtására az egyik lehetséges eljárás a funkcionális renormálási csoport (RG) használata.
