How to get to the city/hotel?

1. From Airport

Krakow is served by several airlines at the Krakow Airport at Krakow-Balice (click here for more information).

Note: The airport's free shuttle bus runs every 15 minutes connecting the International Terminal T1, the Domestic Terminal T2, and the train stop. (See a map.)

You can take a taxi: (e.g. Radio Taxi 19191, Krakow Airport Taxi) from Krakow-Balice Airport to the hotel.

or train:
the regular rail services to Krakow city center (Main Railway Station) are operated by PKP. The Krakow-Balice Station is located app. 200 m from the International Terminal, you can get there on foot (around 5 min. walk) or take a free shuttle bus service which operates to and from Krakow-Balice Station, this is a 3 minute trip from the airport terminal building.

So in the case of Ibis Budget Hotel, you can use directly bus 208 and get off on Armii Krajowej bus stop or take a taxi. For Florianska Guesthouse you can take train to Krakow Glowny railway station from there it is only 5 minutes walk to Florianska street or you can take a taxi. To get to IFJ PAN you can use bus 208 and get off at Balicka Wiadukt bus stop and then walk about 15 min in direction traffic circle Rondo Ofiar Katynia or take a taxi.

2. From Railway Station

Krakow has direct railway links with Berlin, Budapest, Bucarest, Hamburg, Kiev, Lvov, Prague, Vienna, Zilin. All trains stop at the Dworzec Glowny - Main Railway Station in Krakow. Main Railway Station is located in the city center and is a short walk northeast of the Old Town.

Taxi is available on the upper level above the platforms.
So for people accommodated at Ibis Budget Hotel we recommend to take a taxi.

For those at Florianska Guesthouse: it is 5 minutes walk to your hotel at Florianska street.

To get to IFJ PAN: taxi or you can take tram, line 4, 13 in direction Bronowice Male and get off at Balicka Wiadukt and then walk about 15 min in direction traffic circle Rondo Ofiar Katynia or take a bus 172, 173 to the next bus stop - Rondo Ofiar Katynia.

Tickets may be purchased at newspaper stands, ticket machines (2,80 - 4,00 PLN one way) or from the driver (with an additional payment +1.00 PLN). Traveling time about 15-45 min.

3. Via Car

Routes to the city: The north-south E77 links Cracow with Warsaw and Gdansk in the north and Zakopane and the Slovak border in the south. The eastwest E40 arrives from Lviv in Ukraine in the east and then goes west through Wroclaw and Katowice to Dresden in Germany (partly the A4 motorway). To the southwest, the Czech Republic is easily reached via the E75.

Note: There are no parking areas for free in the city center.
