Description
In one dimension, strongly interacting quantum particles have attracted a lot of attention for over than 50 years. Some celebrated results are the Tonks-Girardeau gas and the Lieb-Liniger models. Recent advances in cold atoms have enabled the study of one-dimensional bosons with strong repulsive or attractive interactions allowing the exploration of these models in more detail. I will consider the case of fermionic particles in one dimension with strong short-range interactions in an external potential and describe a way to approach the general solution from a few-body point of view.
