The thermal and electrical conductivity of neutron star matter

I discuss in general terms the nuclear and condensed matter physics relevant to calculations of transport properties of the neutron star crust and core. I will present results for the thermal and electrical conductivities of the solid, liquid and superfluid phases of dense matter expected, and discus its implications for neutron star cooling, supernova and neutron star merger dynamics.
