The techniques for matching NLO computations with parton showers at fixed parton multiplicities are by now rather well established. Thus, an obvious problem is that of the consistent merging of NLO-accurate event samples with different final-state multiplicities. I shall discuss the proposal of 1209.6215 (FxFx) and some of its recent applications.
