News:
  • Daniel: Steering committee : there is a linear collider workshop in Japan, November 11-15. We have to be present. But not yet decided what our contribution would be. Probably on luminosity preservation issues and technical system related (BDS, Rings)
  • New agreement with Shandong University: new student coming in the future to work on RTML. Another student from Turkey working on injector issues.

The talks.

Some discussion occurred during Jakob's talk. Here the main points / actions :
  • Satellite cleaning is missing
  • Need to study the impact of the phase shifter on the beam loading
  • Roberto should have lattice files for gun and DB linac - Jakob should try to get them
    • "a" version exist on the CLICSIM repository. Need to verify its contents
    • Piotr might have an updated version of such lattice files
  • Chain of Bunch Compressors: so far BCs in the Drive Beam are just matrices. And do not really seem correct. (Avni provided these matrices). Can Erik help?
  • Combiner rings and delay loop:
    • lattices also need to be checked (need for vertical bends / vertical doglegs?)
    • emittance preservation in the combiner rings must be assessed
  • Turnaround and feed-forward :
    • "PLACET translation of same lattice becomes unstable under same matching conditions."  Andrea will help Jakob understanding what happens
  • What about vibrations by the beam dumps? Need to be simulated? Find someone to do it
  • Timing system / phasing system : still an open issue. It might require one person working on it
  • Vibrations induced by PETS? Are they an issue? Need to be simulated?
