Radiation tests A&T sector: Strategy, constraints and dependencies, facilities and guidelines.
In the framework of the R2E project an intense activity of radiation tests is on-going in the A&T sector to characterize behaviour under radiation of different type of systems going from fully commercial equipment to custom boards based on COTS components. The test strategy is based on the knowledge of the radiation environment, the type of equipment and its failure impact. The basic guidelines of radiation testing are recalled and the test facilities options are discussed.
