Present The root team, Marco, Benedikt, Andreas
Executive Summary:
* Action: Danilo - Check the normalisation of the headers in the dictionary
* Action: Axel - In the case of systems relying on genreflex dictionaries, investigate the pricetag of relocability of built projects ("installations"), provided that all headers except the umbrella one are available at runtime.
Introduction:
* Marco: Is Wim really done with the cppyy? It would be nice to have one api for PyCintex and PyROOT one. Marco will comment on the task in Jira.
LHCb:
* Problem: dictionaries generated with genreflex depend on headers which are there only at build time.
* Proposal: Include as a string the umbrella header in the dictionaries? Probably a good idea
* We should check if the include paths are normalised
* Proposal: provide a variable with the include paths if needed, a sort of "LD_LIBRARY_PATH for headers"
* This solution would work for LHCb and CMS
* Root taken from Dev2 spi nightly: problem reading the headers, looked in the src directory
* This is a fundamental issue for CMS as well: see jira ticket 5500
CMS:
* Building Root Problem: CMS cannot install root and therefore nothing can be built on top
* This needs to be fixed: Relocation is an essential requirement
* Axel mentions an agreement between Philippe and Liz about about not providing relocatability for November
* Paul: 2 umbrella areas needed for CMS, one at build time and the other on the local installation
* These 2 directories must be available, for example in the aforementioned environment variable
