Michael Rauch (Univ. Karlsruhe, KIT)08/09/2014, 14:00Section G: Strongly Coupled TheoriesIn 2012 a resonance at around 126 GeV was discovered at the LHC in the Higgs search channels. Since then, work has continued to verify that it is indeed the Standard Model (SM) Higgs boson which has been found, or to find deviations from the SM predictions, which would point to new physics. In this talk I will summarize the current experimental results on the Higgs boson and discuss...Go to contribution page

Ignasi Rosell (Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera & IFIC, Valencia)08/09/2014, 15:00Section G: Strongly Coupled TheoriesWe study strongly coupled models of electroweak symmetry breaking with a light Higgs boson. We use a resonance effective Lagrangian with bosonic massive resonances together with the Standard Model degrees of freedom, including a light Higgs. We consider constraints from the phenomenology and from the assumed high-energy behavior of the underlying theory. This resonance effective theory can be...Go to contribution page

Anton Rebhan (Vienna University of Technology)08/09/2014, 15:20Section G: Strongly Coupled TheoriesThe glueball spectrum of Witten's model for nonsupersymmetric Yang-Mills theory from type IIA supergravity is discussed with regard to the Sakai-Sugimoto model, which introduces chiral quarks through probe D8 branes. The couplings of glueballs with the mesons are worked out, leading to almost parameter-free predictions for the decay rates of glueballs.Go to contribution page
