Power Converters are critical components in the performance and the operation of Particle Accelerators Meetings - scheduled or informally organized - during International Conferences either on Particle Accelerators or Power Electronics are not the best way for exchanging experiences and ideas. POCPA Workshop devoted to the specific field of POwer Converters for Particle Accelerators aimed to group specialists in this field from the particle accelerator laboratories worldwide for a two-days meeting and to organize a true "round table" on selected topics. The 1st POCPA workshop will address the issue of the reliability (MTBF and MTTR) of the power equipments in particle accelerators. The sessions 1 and 2 are devoted to this specific subject and the presentations from various laboratories will address the following questions: What are the measured MTBF and MTTR values in the different machines? Maintenance organization (spare parts policy, stand-by service, mitigation of long MTTR,…). What was done to improve? What will be done in the future? How to design new power converters to reach high reliability? The sessions 3 and 4 are reserved for presentations from the laboratories. The idea is to have presentations on the present developments or consolidations to share experience and to get advices for colleagues. The Scientific Committee decided to not invite commercial companies for this 1st Workshop to have the possibility of "free speech" among participants. Participation by invitation ONLY. Please contact one of the two chairpersons.
