LHCPhenoNet Workshop on particle physics and related subjects. The workshop, which will take place in Paris, from Wednesday June 4th morning to Friday June 6th afternoon, aims at gathering young researchers, mainly Ph.D. students and post-docs, to discuss the latest developments in particle physics research. It will focus in particular on the development of new tools for phenomenological predictions and on advanced calculation techniques for higher order corrections in High Energy Physics. A number of presentations from senior researchers will also be featured. Being sponsored by an EU Initial Training Network, whose focus is also to bridge the gap between business and academia, the workshop will include a session devoted to the discussion of the perspectives of employment of young researchers in the industrial sector.
The meeting will be held at the UPMC Jussieu campus (Place Jussieu 4, 75006, Paris).
The campus can be reached using the Paris subway lines 10 and 7, stop Jussieu.
On Wednesday and Thursday the workshop will take place in the seminar room of the LPNHE (Laboratoire de Physique Nucleaire et d'Hautes Energies). The room (1222-RC/SB-08) can be accessed via the tower 12. Please note that it is at the ground floor ("Rez-de-chaussé", RC in French), which is actually one floor below the main level "JU". On Friday instead the it will take place in the library (1314-401) of LPTHE (Laboratoire de Physique Théorique et Hautes Energies), on the 4th floor and accessible through tower 13. A map of the campus can be found here.
Local organizing committee: Samuel Abreu, Emanuele Bagnaschi and Marco Zaro. Please contact us for any further questions.
