Description
'Detector Cooling Systems' is a subject not to be neglected even at the very early stages of detector design. After a short introduction to the state of the art, this seminar will guide you through the present trends in cooling for particle detectors, with particular focus on CO2 evaporative systems being developed in the PH-DT group. Guidelines on important aspects in the design and development phases are given, reviewing our recent experience building CO2 cooling systems for the LHC 'cool' detectors.
