The bi-weekly meeting of the LHC librarians and LCG/AA projects

LCG_55, dev1 slot: - some (new) tests in CORAL are still failing, will be followed up, in case there is no solution possible on the time scale of next week, they will be temporarily disabled for this relase. These are only new tests, not new bugs. :) LCG_54g: - expect to have root ready early next week. - Stefan will send a summary of the differences between 5.18.00b and .00d to the LIM list. - will Leopard support be extended to this release ? I.e. will the release wait until Leopard is done? ATLAS: ---------- - for the mac-builds the re-creating of symlinks a few hours after the time-stamp (in _isDone_) causes the Atlas integration builds to fail. - since yesterday new Atlas nightly against dev1 (de-sealed) slot to see what the issues are - recent kernel upgrades cause problems: QMTest freeze, w, ps freeze, ... on the boxes where the nightlies run (lxbuild) - on "debug" boxes no problems, only on "opt" boxes. LHCb: --------- - LHCb will use the LCG_55 in the new version of Gaudi to be scheduled for next week. - some more testing of a new feature in Gaudi (stateMachine) needs to be done. - feedback from LHCb will be used to determine the time for the final tags of POOL/COOL/CORAL - the question of library extensions on Leopard (.dylib vs. .so) needs to be escalated to the AF and decided there. CMS: ------- - nothing new to report AOB: ------- - LHCb: a short stack with Gaudi to test the new LCGCMT would be very helpful
