Description
In this talk I will review the present status of the lightest scalar meson resonance, which has been a controversial state for many decades despite playing a central role in our understanding of the QCD spontaneous symmetry breaking and the nucleon-nucleon attraction. Recently, the debate about its existence and parameters has been finally settled.
In addition, there are strong indications that this is not an ordinary quark-antiquark state, coming form large Nc, Regge Theory, and many other approaches, including lattice.
