  • Do you wish you had an environment where all of your IT resources, from services, network devices, servers, data stores and applications are available to you when and where you need them most? The EGEE Industry Day, organised in Ischia on 12th July 2006, wishes to focus on how Grid computing does just that and how it enables enterprises and institutions to do more with less, deploying resources for new projects and improving time to market for new products.

    Representatives from public and private institutions such as Microsoft Italia, the University of Messina, IBM Italia & Gempliss Srl and CNIPA will present some of their ongoing initiatives available to businesses and governmental institutions demonstrating their solutions of deploying grid technology in their business or institution. Moreover, a range of business representatives have registered to exchange experiences including representatives from: Ricoh company Ltd, University of Naples, CNR - Milan Institute of Technology, e-voluzione srl, LAit SpA, the National eScience Centre, Atos origin and more.
