Description
KLOE studies Kaon physics at DAFNE, the Frascati PHI factory. KLOE is a solenoidal general purpose experiment with the complexity of LEP detectors, although with a smaller number of sub-elements. This seminar will focus on novel ideas and technical solutions successfully adopted in the mechanical construction of the very large drift chamber, in the survey/alignment work performed for the experiment assembly These comprise the field mapping, extended to the poles (photomultiplier region), and the direct measurement of the position of the KLOE solenoid magnetic axis, critical for the performance of DAFNE.
