Highlights of the 1998 Nuclear Science Symposium and Medical Imaging Conference

The 1998 Nuclear Science Symposium and Medical Imaging Conference was held in Toronto, Canada, from 10th to 14th of November, 1998. This detector seminar is aimed at giving some selected highlights of the Conference. A description and the present status of the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory will be presented. Activities in the field of particle identification from the Babar, CDF, KTeV and Selex experiments will be covered and finally, specific topics related to gas and photon detector developments will be discussed.
