H. Landolt and R. Börnstein founded the Landolt-Börnstein data collection nearly 120 years ago. Today more than 1000 well known experts, as well including several CERN staff members, are working permanently as editors and authors for Landolt-Börnstein, suppling the user with reliable data. CERN's Scientific Information Service is very happy to announce here that Springer-Verlag for the year 2000 offers the Landolt-Börnstein Millennium Campaign. Nearly all Landolt-Börnstein volumes, 129 sub volumes out of a total of 147 sub volumes, published up to 1990 will be available for one year free of charge on the Internet. W.
