This workshop will focus on very detailed technical planning for the whole SC3 exercise. The experiment-specific sessions will be structured as follows: - Experience from recent Grid data challenges and productions: what worked, what didn't, what are the key issues to be addressed? - Detailed experiment goals for Service Challenge 3: what are the primary / secondary / optional objectives? How will do you define success / partial success / failure? - Detailed experiment plans: what are the services you need in place? (core infrastructure, experiment-specific agents and so forth, ...), what environment do you depend on? (platforms, O/S, ...), what applications area packages and specific releases, what other external packages and releases, experiment-specific packages and release?

        SC4 Heads up 15m
        SC4 is scheduled to start in April 2006. However, preparations must begin much earlier, with key components in place no later than end January 2006. This requires agreements to be reached, developments to be made and hence a brief look at the timeline is required. At the moment, two workshops are foreseen to prepare for SC4: - During the week of 19 - 23 September, preferably outside CERN, involving not only the T0/T1s but the main T2s; discussion of analysis use cases, analysis system support (proof, xrootd etc.0 - Closer to SC4; final preparations (at CERN? in conjunction with CHEP in Mumbai?)
