+ Actions done and progress
- Savannah:
. usual admin of new projects
. investigated why notifications from a CMS project had
'malformed recipient addresses'. Found it was due to a
'simplification' (for load reasons) in Savannah combined
with recipients names including unusual accented chars.
I edited the recipients names as an immediate cure and I
will try to fix the problem without loosing too much efficiency.
- Hypernews:
. creation of new forums (... still!), renaming, etc
. several users to migrate from CMS to Atlas
. wrote a script to collect ccids of all Atlas registered users.
Found some 2300 ccids - manual search will be necessary for
about 60 users
. Preparing to migrate as soon as IT will have time to help (e-groups
is put in production right now) - Stefan suggested to do
incremental migrations for most of HN before Christmas so that
the first half of January can be devoted to testing and
transfering the remaining part at the end.
+ Next actions
- complete the HN to e-groups migration scripts (user lists)
- work on Drupal with Stefan

+ Actions done
- Preparations for LCG 56
- new compiers / platforms setup, i.e. slc5 32 and 64 bit, gcc 4.3 and 3.4 on slc5, VC9
- created symlinks for the new platforms in the external area
- setup of a new VC9 build machine to overcome the crashes which occur under high load (not finalized yet)
- gcc 3.4 setup for slc5 compilations in the contrib area
- Move to new versions of external packages (Boost, cppunit, ....)
- python 2.5 discussion. There are two issues with the current python 2.5 installation, i.e. it lacks support for a sqlite module and the executable is linked against python.so - while it would be better to have it statically linked. These two issues would need to be sorted out e.g. with a newer python version or a patch version of python 2.5.
+ Next actions
- Continue with preparations of LCG 56
-

+ Problems
- The slc5 build nodes don't accept acron jobs
- VC9 build machine crashes under high load
