Scientific Programme

The goal of the ECM'08 workshop is to review the present status of the electron cloud studies and especially focus on the mitigation and suppression techniques currently under development. Special attention is paid for the first time to the possible synergies with the space community. Rf components used in a number of satellite applications are in fact affected by electron multipacting. The workshop has been scheduled to last 2 full days and it is composed of 4 sessions, focusing respectively on a general review of the electron multipacting, mitigation techniques, beam measurements and simulation tools.
