Final Bulletin: 23 January 2009

The First Workshop on Data Preservation and Long Term Analysis in HEP will
take place from Monday 26 - Wednesday 28 January 2009 in Hamburg, Germany
at Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY). The homepage of the workshop
can be found here:

Registration is now closed, with 46 people registered as attending the
workshop at DESY. The agenda is now also complete and can be found here:

http://indico.cern.ch/conferenceTimeTable.py?confId=42722

We have two further contributors that will present via EVO. The full EVO
connection details can be obtained from david.south@desy.de, for those
not in Hamburg who would like to participate. There will be two days of
talks on the Monday and Tuesday, and a session on Wednesday morning will
be devoted to summary discussions.

Now some final practical details:

Arrival in Hamburg: From Hamburg Airport, take the new S1 s-bahn to
"Othmarschen" and from there the number 1 bus to "Bahrenfeld Trabrennbahn"
for the Novotel (3 stops) or "Zum Huenengrab / DESY" for DESY (5 stops).
The journey time from the airport is about 1 hour and the ticket costs
2,60 euro. Alternatively, a taxi costs about 30 euro and takes 25 minutes.
A map of the area around DESY is here:

The talks and discussion sessions will take place in Building 1c, in
seminar room 4, which is on the first floor (ie one floor above the ground
floor) in the seminar room area in the centre of the building 1. A map of
the DESY site is here:

the main DESY gate on Notkestrasse is near the bottom in the middle.

Registration: Registration will be open from 8am on Monday and at other
times during the workshop for you to pick up a pack of information etc,
prepared for each participant.

Acommodation: Keys for hostel rooms should be obtained from the hostel
office directly in building 6 during their opening hours (Monday-Friday,
09:00-13:00), otherwise they will be waiting for you in the porter's
office at the main gate, on Notkestrasse (the gate where the number 1 bus
stops), where they also have maps of the DESY site. The hostel bill will
be prepared on Monday, so you can pick it up from the registration desk.
Phone calls will be billed separately. All bills should be paid at the
DESY Kasse, also in building 6, which will be open 08:30-10:30 on Tuesday
and Wednesday. For those staying at the Novotel, please pay at the hotel.

Wireless: Wireless internet will be available in the seminar room area
and around DESY via the network "DESY-Guest". A simple online registration
is required for access, to be filled in the first time you connect.

Evening Events: On Monday evening a group reservation is made at the
on-site DESY Bistro, where a variety of evening meals and drinks are
available. On Tuesday evening a visit to the Altona museum is planned,
which will be followed by a buffet style working dinner:

Transport to the museum will be provided, as well as a guided tour in
