The currently available accuracy on parton distributions (PDFs) in the proton, the strong coupling constant alpha_s and the masses of heavy quarks is often limiting the precision of cross section predictions at the LHC. We discuss the current state-of-the-art analysis at next-to-next-to-leading order in QCD obtained by ABM, compare with other PDF sets and comment on proposed procedures to average PDFs.
