AFS service/operation meeting

AFS operations meeting 2015-10-26

Leftovers:

• TSM leftover backup list - was sent by Alex, need to reply
• CC7 kernel module (building for other kernels): still need to have discussion with Linux.Support
• 1.6.14 to prod? no change. Jan to upgrade "work.boinc" and then some work server
  • discuss: phase in other changes (more threads, parallel salvage) at the same time? no.

Issues:

• afs269 got stuck, usual symptoms, have coredumps
  • should be able to detect via pileup on ARC server and/or backups
• ABS CASTOR cleanup: done for 6months, will run 2x/week from now
• AFS client for Mac: AURISTOR client is available for latest release "Capitan", seems to work, does not mention AFS, license permits internal redistribution -> Mac Support.. (KB article or explanation on their software page)
  • YFS client: gone, "some swedish lab" client did not work.
