EGEE-3 A management board was held on 6 November to discuss the status of the planning for transition to EGI. As a result, the deliverable describing EGEE's view and plans for transition, DNA1.4 is being updated with input from management board representatives and collaborating projects. 3 non-European countries have provided their views which are compiled into the document. The next All Activity meeting to discuss the next steps in the transition planning will be held in Brussels on 27/28 January 2009. The second quarterly report is underway and will be submitted in December to the Commission. The first amendment request for the Grant Agreement has been sent to the Commission and is being processed. The project office attended the ICT 2008 event in Lyon on 224 November, on which occasion a meeting with collaborating infrastructure projects was also held. Kristina Gunne visited the premises of the forthcoming User forum in Catania on 20 November. The call for abstracts has been opened. The Technical director, Steven Newhouse attended SC08 in Austin, Texas. A new temporary staff member, Lynsey Cormack has joined the EGE group to assist with collaborating projects and general PO administration. A global retreat of the group will be held on 11 December to discuss priorities for 2009.
