Description
September 2006 marks the end of the WLCG Service Challenge programme,
and in particular Service Challenge 4 (SC4), during which all 4 LHC experiments
carried out major tests of their computing models and the service infrastructure
provided by the WLCG collaboration.

provided by the WLCG collaboration.
The GridKa federation - made up of the Tier1 centre in Karlsruhe and its associated
Tier2 sites - is arguably the largest and most complex of all such federations
within the WLCG. Not only are all 4 LHC VOs supported - together with the
maximal data rate of 200MB/s during pp runs - but also the Tier2s are spread
over several countries, with a complex network topology.
This workshop will perform an in-depth review of the successes and failures of the
experiments' tests during the SC4 production phase and also review the
state of readiness for the upcoming production activities for the next phase
of the WLCG, starting in September and extending into the full service phase.
As a participating site or experiment, you are invited to take part in this historic
event, marking the end of the WLCG Service Challenges.
The SC4 Tier2 Workshop will be held on the 18. and 19. September 2006 at the Physics Department of the University of Munich (LMU).
