- Invitation letter
- We will provide an invitation letter or email that you should print out and bring with you.
- From Roissy airport by train (RER B station CDG2)
- It is a 1h10 ride to RER B station "Lozere", and a 20 min walk climbing 300 stairs.
- RER B from Roissy run every 15min.
- From Orly airport by train (south or west terminal)
- Take the ORLYVAL, change at ANTONY station, and take the RER B southbound, direction "St Remy LesChevreuse" or "Massy Palaiseau") to station "Lozere" (30min trains with 1 transfer + 20min walk).
- Alternatively, there is also a slow bus 91.10 from Orly to stop "Ecole Polytechnique D128" (50min ride, 1 per hour) but due to road works in the area routes are be modified. The file Albatrans_91.06_A-B-91.10_Fiche_hiver.pdf contains the timetable for this bus.
- Alternatively, coming via RER B (avoiding stairs)
- Get off the RER B station at "Massy Palaiseau" (1h04) and use the bus line 91.06C "Christ de Saclay" from "Massy-Palaiseau" to "Ecole Polytechnique D128" (20 min ride+ 5 min walk).
- Please find here a map of the RER B station at "Massy Palaiseau" for identifying the bus stop.
- Be sure to board the right bus (91.06C not any other 91.06). "via Ecole Polytechnique" is written as a destination on the sign.
- Leave the bus at the 4th stop (Ecole Polytechnique D128), in front of the "THALES" building. Follow the crowed to the Ecole Polytechnique Lab buildings through a gate.
- Access to the lab buildings requires a badge at all doors. Either wait until you somebody let's you in with him/her (people are cool about this) or call the "emergency phone number" we will provide.
- A detailed map for preferred access routes will be provided later.
- Access restrictions
- Please be aware that due to security requirements access is restricted to the Ecole Polytechnique site.
- If you come by public transportation (RER, Bus) your ID will very likely not be checked (free access) but please be sure to carry a valid passport (or national ID card for EU-citizens) and a printed version of the invitation letter.
- If you come by car, you can only access through the main gate (P5), the access to the lab parking lot is closed.
You must bring a valid ID, and the invitation letter, present yourself at the gate building. You will be given a visitors ID card. - Access to the lab buildings requires a badge at all doors. Either wait until you somebody let's you in with him/her (people are cool about piggybacking ) or call the "help" phone number we will provide.

- Transfer time
- Please be aware that depending on the time of your arrival bus frequencies may vary. To be on the safe side I recommend to count 2h00 transfer time for an arrival at Roissy and 1h15 for for arrival at Orly.
