Description
Simple extentions of the standard model predict the existence of macroscopic strings that can be produced at colliders. These strings end on "quirks", heavy particles with various possible standard model couplings. This talk will give a general introduction to quirks and the variety of unusual phenomenology that they predict for the Tevatron and the LHC.
