LCG 56
---
- The configuration has been released Fri. 13,. Atlas is using it in their nightly builds successfully
Nightly builds
--
- Some POOL tests failing from time to time. This is due to some problems with the database cleanup of tables. Andrea proposed to revisit the db testing of all Persistency projects in the course of the year and to make some simplifications and cleanup including the db account used, the setup of the environment and the cleaning/setting up of the db infrastructure.
- VC 7.1 and VC9 builds have failed the last days. This is due to some disk space problems which are resolved now. The builds should appear again in the coming days.
- slc5 builds are still shaky. The dedicated lxbuild nodes for PH/SFT are currently being prepared by IT/FIO. Once these nodes are there also the builds should be more stable. We can also include more platforms in different slots by then.

CMS
---
- Building with latest, Root 5.22.00a and LCG/AA projects versions from LCG 56.
- There is some fixing going on which resulted from the Reflex API chagnes.
Atlas
---
- Problem with root_config which did not understand symlinks. The fix is part of LCG 56
- A fix for the acron problem was found by IT/FIO and deployed on the Atlas build machines. It has to be understood if this is deployed by standard now on all slc5 nodes.
- The mac builds take a very long time. This might be related to afs client problems.
LHCb
---
- A lot of work was put into the LCGCMT Grid interface packages. The split of those interfaces from the general LCGCMT package would be preferred to allow a different deployment speed for grid packages . In this context a problem was found when overriding LCG_Interfaces if the hosting package uses a different cmt install policy than LCGCMT.
- Request an interface to gcc 4.3 compiler in LCGCMT

- Concerning the windows terminal server LHCb will give access to LCG/AA developers for a VC7.1 and VC9 build node. Once the machines are setup SPI will collect the users wanting to connect within LCG/AA.
- There are several new compilers possible for the LCG/AA nightly builds. These are icc 11, llvm 2.4, gcc 4.3.3 - to be discussed in the AF.
- The question about porting to windows 64 bit came up. We will also discuss this in the next AF. In general the porting will be a big effort as we cannot easily automatize this step.
