Attendees: Hubert Degaudenzi, Andrea Valassi, Emil Obreshkov, Andreas Pfeiffer, Stefan Roiser News === Nightly builds --- - The i686-slc5 build node (virtual) failed on Fri and did not reboot (even with help of experts). As we are very close to receive the FIO provided lxbuild nodes we wait for the new machine to be deployed. Until then we cannot provide the builds for this platform. - OSX builds seem to be hanging in the coolDropDB exec making the builds fail. - AFS cache problem with Atlas - 8GB - Options for for afs daemon have to reset - Windows builds shall be resurrected soon. More memory was put, automatic defragmentation enabled - x86_64-slc5 builds were failing today - to be investigated. Software stack --- - LCGCMT has been moved to the new tag scheme, RELAX as well. Persistency projects shall follow. After this has been done we can move to the experiments code. - Summer student for code coverage testing and rule checker. Do we want to have a rule checker? - New compilers llvm, icc requested by Atlas & ROOT to be deployed soon. Round table ==== LHCb --- - Currently converting GAUDI to using new tag conventions - The usage of the LCG_Builders scripts is envisaged as one possibility to create GAUDI for external parties. Persistency --- - VC9 + Python a fix was done in LCGCMT recently. More investigations needed. - Using different tags for all nightlies slots. LHCb still using the LCG 55 series. Hubert will cross check and inform Andrea what kind of tags are needed for dev1. - voms authentication for CORAL Server. Needs to be followed up by Andrea. Installation in externals necessary/possible? ie. VOMS 1.9. Andrea will contact also Philippe Ch. to clarify the status of Grid packages. Atlas --- - Very happy with LCG 56 series. End of the week we will release 15.0.0. SLC5 builds look also good. Planning to do also the release with slc5 platforms gcc 3.4 and 4.3. - Problem with Generator builds on slc5 (gcc 3.4 and 4.3) while using genconf. This happens for local builds. SELinux problem? CMS --- - Building with latest ROOT and externals? Slight problem with qt3/qt4 migration. - Reramping mac builds with latest builds and CORAL/Boost - this was resolved yesterday in the nightly builds. Aob === - Can the -pre releases for LCG 56 be removed? Emil will cross check and inform Stefan. - Interface for slc4 compat package needed in LCGCMT.
