- We will use the icc installation from afs (openlab) for the nightly builds. The setup of the new platform in LCGCMT is pending.
Round Table
===
CMS
---
- Working on integration in 3.1 branch (data taking branch).
Persistency
---
- Moved tags for dev1 branch in the nightlies to sort out inconsistencies.
- No major patches in the pipeline for LCG 56 branch, one minor patches for POOL
- The "oracle problem on slc5" (missing -fPIC compilation) shall be solved for version 11.2 to be released in October. We will also give it a try with a preview release in March.
Atlas
---
- Release 15 done with LCG 56. No production on Grid yet, because there is a problem with the "job transforms" in release 15. Patch will be done soon.
- SLC5 machines had problems, no login possible, one is fixed now another one still failing.
- Problem running libraries generating dictionaries. This is probably due to missing -fPIC in the Cernlib compilation which is used for some generator packages.
- Investigation of migration to subversion, looks quite good. Decision on Thursday on whether to migrate.
LHCb
---
- Tried to use the new tag logic, works fine. A few changes will be fed back.
- Foreseeing to have a Gaudi release on LCG 56 after CHEP
- Request for fftw packaging ( this is part of LCGCMT already so should work "out of the box")
- Latest cmt does not compute dependencies correctly - stops after 3 levels. A report will be issued to the CMT developers.
