Selected Highlights from the TIPP09 Conference

Abstract: “TIPP” is a new conference series for Technology and Instrumentation in Particle Physics with the aim to "encourage worldwide cooperation and communication for the development of Detectors in Particle Physics". The 1st conference took place this year in Tsukuba, Japan. Selected highlights from the conference will be presented. Current developments of semiconductor detectors and their front-end electronics especially regarding possible SLHC upgrades and ILC are summarized and discussed.
