Participants: F. Antoniou, R. Corsini, A. Dabrowski, B. Dalena, K. Elsener, M. Fitterer, B. Jeanneret, M. Martini, Ö. Mette, Y. Papaphilippou, L. Rinolfi, D. Schulte, F. Stulle, G. Vanbavinckhove, A. Vivoli
D. Schulte announce that by the end of the week a web page should be setup for the ILC CLIC Beam Dynamics Workshop in June. A list of working groups will be compiled soon.
B. Jeanneret asked to add a point "AOB" to the meeting agenda where everybody can upload contributions. F. Stulle agreed to do this from next week on.
L. Rinolfi presented the main beam injector complex. He discussed the current baseline design and important challenges, e.g. the bunch current from the gun cathode and the energy deposition in the targets. F. Stulle asked when the latest parameter changes in the damping rings and the RTML will become baseline. D. Schulte said this should be discussed at the CLIC meeting and R. Corsini proposed next Friday. D. Schulte agreed. The impact of the new parameters on beam line design was discussed and F. Stulle agreed to study the possibility of a BC2 chicane with positive R56 to shorten the BC2 RF. In view of the expected losses of 30%, B. Jeanneret asked how stable the beam intensity must be in the main linac. D. Schulte answered that the stability must be 1e-3, which is a challenge. The sources of particle loss must be identified and studied. D. Schulte asked if the PEDD is valid for crystalline and amorphous targets. L. Rinolfi said it should be valid for both, but this should be examined. L. Rinolfi will continue his talk next week.
F. Stulle presented an update of the magnets list. Many sections already contain data, some more data will follow soon. A few improvements were discussed.
F. Stulle showed an update of the RTML simulations. Wake fields are now also included in the ELEGANT simulations and PLACET simulations have been improved. But the agreement with PLACET is not yet satisfactory.
